The title scared senior a lot. They thought they have to take a 100 question test.

8:06 At this point, this test has become more about short term memory than driving. I’ve seen at least three questions now that have already been asked and answered.

13: 2 second rule is reaction time to respond to sudden stop of car in front of your car? Reaction time does not give your car the chance to stop. Car is on wheels with momentum therefore add on to 2 seconds another 10.

Who does this test? I took my 91 year old mother for her test and along with about 50 other seniors. All they had to do was draw a circle, add the numbers 1 through 12 like a regular clock then show it at 10 to 2. You've passed. That was the whole test. I figured half those people should not be driving including my mother. They're still out there. Watch out.

Not many questions about the turning signal then you wonder why so many drivers are not signalling before passing, turning or changing lane. Signalling your intentions ahead of time is much more important than signalling your actions.

These questions keep repeating, but I got all the ones I had the patience to answer correct. I will have to do my test in 2027.

I had a lot of fun with this because I’m scheduled to be tested before my next birthday. I got all the answers right but, to be fair, I was a driving instructor after I had retired.

The question about hand held usage while driving is not clear …. Amateur Radio (hams) are allowed to use a microphone but not a hand held unit. However, they just use the microphone by hand and so the confusion …. There are other VOX methods that are safer but that’s not the question ….

I'm confused here I took the test when I was 80 and we had no questions like this at all. Is this new of old because we took vision test, clock test and watched a video.

It is one thing to pass a vision test, a mental acurity test, and asnwer a few questions. It is quite another to actually drive safely. I mean, would you like to undergo an operation where the surgeon only passed a written exam? With all the humility I can muster, I drive better than 95% of other drivers on the road.

Minimum following distance under ideal conditions: Q13 says 2 secs BUT Q88 says 3 secs. Which is it as the wording is the same?

Is the test available in different languages as well?

Some laws in Quebec are quite different from those in Ontario. For example in Quebec, there is no speed limit when passing another vehicle on the highway. I remember driving with a friend from Ontario on a 80 km/h road and he freaked out when I went well over 100 km/h to pass a car doing about 75 km/h. It's good to know these differences. Also a lot of the questions are duplicated later in the test. Maybe they do this to make sure you give the same answer when the question is asked later in the test.

Question 4 what should you do if you miss your exit on a highway. Well, from what I've see just slam across 3 lanes of traffic and leave, or if on the 407 5 lanes, who cares as long as you don't have the sense to see your exit posted from at least a kilometer in advance

I wonder if this is some kind of first draft. Several questions are repeated and one question is repeated with different correct answers. Also several questions are really non-questions, as there is only one reasonable choice.

There should be an upper limit, as well as a lower limit, for being licensed to drive. My stepmother used to take these unsupervised tests & she said they were all giving each other the answers! She was a MENACE, even as a younger driver, extremely aggressive. 🛑
