How many shares of stock to buy to make a $1000 dollars a month? How much do you need to invest to earn a grand a month? I’ll show you exactly how much to invest in seven stocks to make money every month to pay your bills.

This is one of the most common questions I get on investing videos, how many shares of stock to buy to make money. Investors want to know exactly how much to invest in the stocks I was recommending.

In this video, I’ll use seven popular stocks as examples to show you exactly how much to invest now to earn $1000 dollars every month. I’ll also reveal the number of shares to buy and why this may be the wrong question.

My Investing Recommendations 📈

Ever wonder how many shares of Apple to buy or how much to invest in Ford to make a certain amount in dividends? You’re not alone. I get these questions all the time, especially on the stock analysis videos here on the channel.

Now I’m answering the questions using seven of the best dividend stocks as examples of how much to invest and how much you can make. There was some huge differences in the number of shares you need to invest in each of these and I’m revealing one of the most important factors to look for beyond dividend yield and stock price. In fact, if you’re just looking at how many shares to buy and the dividend income, you might miss that $1000 a month by a long shot.

If you do decide to buy shares of stocks mentioned in this video, make sure you do it on a no-fee website to save money. There's no sense in paying commissions anymore when there are so many choices for free investing.

I recommend the ETFs SPHD or VYM! As of now SPHD has a 4.11 dividend yield and expense ratio of 0.30%. VYM has dividend yield of 3.02 and a super low expense ratio of 0.06%.

BMW & Daimler pay very high dividends and I don’t see either company disappearing anytime soon. You can buy them half price at the moment.

Thanks for your calculation. Now my calculation starts. I'd get to 1 million, and I really got to the bottom of it, in 678 years, 42 days, 23 minutes and 4774 seconds.

This is exactly what my goal is right now. I work, I invest in my portfolio, and I let my company contribute profit sharing in my 401k. So as long as I’m around the 11k per year, for now contribution, I am feeling confident it will only take another 3-7 years to make this a reality!

What do you think of MPC, LEG, IP, ABBV, T, BTI, ? Is it a correct choice ?

Thanks for another thought-provoking presentation. Referring to total yield implies selling stocks to produce income. Are there any computations or considerations to evaluate the relation between cap gains & divs lost?

What about the stocks that are around $10 each and have a dividend of 8% wouldn't it require less money to get to that thousand? Only asking because a friend of mine has just under $150, 000 and making much more then $1000. Before anyone freaks out just asking.. really not sure.

Err... If I could afford $800k in apple stock I wouldn't need $1000 a week in divs

Hey Joe, so I don't get how you calculate the return? You said on Disney you would only need $99'800 to get the $1000 pm dividend not $1mil, please explain or did I miss something?

Thank you for your insight I don't yet have enough money to earn 1000.00 a month in dividends but I'll start around the 250.00 per month in dividends 👍🏻😁

So as the stock price or etf price increases, the dividend payment associated with the stock or etf goes up as well ?

Hello!
Love your channel .
... in this video , I am not sure I understand your calculations though
for that 1k/ month, don’t you need to sell stock to capitalize on the gains, If you calculate dividends plus stock grows .Please clarify .
Thanks
