Starts the same way as semis built in the 60s and 70s that my old boss used as water trucks on job sites.

We had a few of these in our unit. Unfortunately they were never ran or used. The theory behind the was that they were light enough to not set off the IED’s. It never took off because they weren’t fast enough.

The military doesnt have all this specialy made diesel equipment because diesel is a better choice for this application than gasoline, they have it to minimize supply chain issues by only having 1 fuel. I see to many people get a hard on about how much better this stuff is when really its only better if you are limited to only diesel as your fuel.

My little Suzuki 185 quad had a decompression lever to start it. We called it the compression lever.

When I was a wee lad. A recon MARINE was showing the gear he would use while he was at work. This bike was one of the many toys he got play with. He told me it would run off anything that would fit in the fuel tank.

A diesel bike is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while

Since I've known of these a few years ago i've wanted one. I'm not a prepper by any means but its a near perfect vehicle for one. Insane fuel mileage, a large fuel tank. Mobility of a larger dirt bike for tight spaces and difficult terrain and optionally you can use stuff like transmission fluid and filtered cooking oil as fuel if you really had to. I wish more bikes were made like this, to make it worth even getting one. Its simply just cool.

We had one in Afghanistan with the 82nd. Army had them too. Never got to ride one but had a scout buddy that rode one. Said it didn’t have a power band like a kx 250 but beat walking to post

I have been saving for one of these for years but I can't find one when I have the money. As soon as I spend the money on a different bike I find one in my price range. Murphy has a sick sense of humor 😂
