The dermatologist I work with hates these because it apparently is very abrasive and damages the skin more than helps with both exfoliation and hair removal.

I've used these before and yes if you are not careful, you will absolutely end up with rough irritated skin. She is spot on about it being an exfoliate not a shaving replacement as it seemed to be advertised as. It does leave my skin feeling nice and soft though. Avoid using it daily, and rather use it maybe every two days.

For delicate skin, this device can cause you to bleed. It literally looked like I was sweating blood. Definitely use lotion with this device, and don't go iverboard with it!

Glad she included the irritation part. On the box it said it could be used on arms too so I did, and god was it a bad idea. My strawberry skin only got worse and my arms were BURNING, I couldn't even wear anything long sleeved for a few days because my arms were sooo sensitive to the touch, even a feather would hurt. So I would recommend only use it on your legs as an exfoliator really, nowhere else.
