A Visual Essay Written, Directed, and Edited by Adrian Duenas

Synopsis:
What do the films North by Northwest, Psycho and The Birds have in common? Yes, all three were directed by Alfred Hitchcock. But, in terms of story, they take you to different locations from New York City to South Dakota, Phoenix to Southern California, and San Francisco to Bodega Bay. Alfred Hitchcock told suspenseful stories that took you all over the world, but during his career as a director, he made three films that maintained his stature as the Master of Suspense but took place in one specific location. There's the middle of the Northern Atlantic with Lifeboat, a penthouse that ends up being the scene of a crime in Rope, and suspicion that a murder took place outside the window in a nearby apartment in Rear Window. This visual essay discusses three films that delve into the world of tension, mystery and murder, stuff that Hitchcock was no stranger to, but also how they show the famed director at different stages in his career where he wanted to test himself as both a director and a storyteller.
