That's the great thing about linux: even within the confines of one distro you really don't have to upgrade if you are on an LTS you can just upgrade as and when you actually need something offered by the newer version. If you absolutely must have the latest then of course you can try a rolling release distro (amd hope nothing breaks the next time you see those updates applying)

I have intel 6th gen, 8gb powered Asus laptop. I had installed ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04LTS. But, restarting upon fresh installation, it freezes on either login screen or on desktop screen. Is there any solution.

I am a new user, so please advise. I installed POP OS 20.4 last month and I would shift to POP OS LTS. Do I have to install it from zero? Or can I upgrade directly to POP OS LTS ?

To be honest, I think this is totally the wrong direction. They are changing the look and feel of the installer while the installation of the distribution is already looking so much dated and ugly. They should improve their theme, the icons, the cursers, improve the usability and features of the tools and much more.

That's why I love Linux, you can still officially download the first version of Ubuntu. But in windows, If you like XP or 7, ummm... NOPE 😂
