Like a lot of the other comments, I have to disagree with your choices. Flat plane 4 cylinders don't sound good until they are over 7, 000 rpm. And using racing versions like the second e30 or the Lancia isn't really fair because they rev much higher than stock, with 9, 000 rpm being typical. I agree on the Civic type R and the S2000 should be in there too. But the flat 4's like the wrx and the 718 Cayman sound better in stock form. Likewise the V4's like the Saab Sonnet or the Ford Essex v4 in the Capri and Consul sound good at any rpm.
