lossless audio is very apparent with a good set of headphones and a good amp/dac.

I love it !!! I even bought headphones, a headphone amp, and DAC to use exclusively with Apple Music lossless.

Additional fees for Spotify hifi have never been confirmed one way or the other. Spotify has not delayed their service either. They just said it would come in 2021. They never said when.

When you’re listening in your car is it on Bluetooth?

Regarding ALAC it can be Cd quality but it can also go a lot higher. It just depends on what files Apple has access to.

The spatial audio/Dolby atmos feature on Apple Music is awesome! Some tracks I’m not crazy about the mix, but some sound so dynamic like I’m listening to it for the first time again. They definitely beat out Spotify with that feature for me.

I'm hoping eventually all these music streaming sites get with HQ level streaming for NO additional cost, it should be the standard at this point, kinda like how 1080p is pretty much standard for HDTV these days. It irritates me that Netflix is charging more for 4k, hopefully that eventually goes away too, since 4k is slowly becoming the standard. I've used many different music sites, but always end up back at Spotify for whatever reason!
