If phone companies could start putting half decent DAC's into their devices that would help.

I was a Spotify user for YEARS until yesterday. When I heard the difference in quality, my brain was blown away. I absolutely love Apple Music now. Even when listening in my BMW, the sound is insane now. The nuances which I never heard in my songs, the crisp, clear quality and depth. I am shook!

All that just for people to listen on their phone speakers or AirPods 😭

Amazing, right? Back to square one. Vinyl and tape were already loseless.

No it doesn't mean that. It just means that you can choose a lossy compression. Lossless don't have to equal better.
You can have a lossless 22 kHz 8 bit recording. It will probably sound crap. And most certainly worse than say a lossy AC3 48khz 24 bit recording

Apple Music’s audio quality shits on Spotify’s, lol. It’s not even close.

They make it so damn hard to actually listen to with a streamer. Name one with native apple music support and I’ll buy it

But its still VBR, you can not lock in lossless because they will still play 128kbp/s mp3 if your connection is not completely stable for some time, so I had to switch back to Tidal :/

44.1 16bit is more resolution than anybody can hear. Anything beyond that is esoterica.

No streaming can physically have a lossless platform because as Long as you are using the INTERNET...you will NEVER have lossless quality nothing.... How much did they pay you to promote this?

Well every website, CAN play it too... they just decide to not to do it... Saves space

Yea but if me the engineer just ends up bouncing a .WAV file with NO DITHERING and sending it bounced at 24-bit/48k, playing it back at 192k I feel won’t make a difference besides maybe making it have that digital edge to the frequencies but I can’t seem to think that would even work unless I’m bouncing and sending the client a 192k bounced track so that it can actually be played back at that high of a sample rate

Tbh Apple Music does amazing. Infact better then Spotify. But YouTube always the best.

this simply is just a gimmick im convinced, how does the apple music version of a song sound so shitty and compressed while claiming its lossless “24bit-88.2 kHz” compared to the same song on Qobuz with the same sample rate and it sounds 1000x better on every system and environment ive tried both platforms on?
