Thank you so much Pannobhasa, this was so interesting. I could listen to you talk for hours more on this topic, so fascinating. Your examples and little stories on the side make digesting a picture so much more palatable than a dry talk. Also really love the way you add your own observations regarding the question whether there were actually any enlightened followers even after 100 years of The Buddhas passing, and also your reminder that we cannot be sure that what is recorded hundreds of years after can be regarded entirely as an absolute record of what the Buddhas teaching actually were. Really enjoyed this, , , thank you again 🙏

A burmese Monk said Buddha didnt want sanskrit translations dont know how true it could be probably doesnt stack up Ashokas pillars were in Prakrit I think ???

Theravadas stick to fundamentals and practice focused. Mahayanas are philosophers, theorists with gurus, devas & gods and everything in between
