These may seem like logical points, but sometimes the fog of war in the AliExpress checkout window can be brutal. I needed to be reminded of these! Thanks, JOMW 😅

I like how if you buy an Invicta you can technically hit all 5 of these points in one watch

Meanwhile me, with 5 chronographs that at this point look so similar to each other that I can't remember whether I wore one of them already the day before or not lmao

"Watches you can't afford"- glad you left that out. 😂 tbh that's the least of my problems now that I've gotten into the better AliExpress offerings. Heritage and history be damned! 😊

Hey, enjoy your channel. Thanks for the information.

You have given me a great impression of San Martin watches. I will turn 65 this next month so I bought a watch for that. It’s a San Martin. I’ll paste the model number below.

I live in the southeast United States. It gets very hot here in the summer and humid. Recently, my wife and I took a trip down to mid Florida near Orlando. It was extremely hot down there and we did stay in an air-conditioned room. Thank God. The watch took on moisture probably from condensation and stop running . We were only down there about four days.

When I return home to the Carolinas, I pulled out the stem and placed it in some raw rice for about 48 hours. It seem to respond well keeping fairly good time, but not as good. Then it stopped.

I began texting the people from San Martin, as I had only had to watch less than a month. I told him that the watch has never been in contact with water. It has never touched water to my knowledge. I do not bath or shower with a watch. I do not even wash my hands with a watch. I told him it was strictly a condensation matter.

I spent about US$50 shipping it back to China and I have not received any messaging from them.

I was surprised that a watch which is a little bit more expensive than most affordable China watches wood take on moisture like that. I also took a long a cheaper Bernie watch. It’s the orange faced watch with the cut out for date showing three days. We had no problems. Any advice? Thank you.

"You should buy watches you love and you wear!" "Don't buy 10 casios" Conflicting information for me Jody! Give me all the square casios!

Jody, you have done an awesome job with your short videos. Another step towards a watch education in a minute or two. Bravo.

It’s great to have confidence in your choices, and I agree with the Jodymeister there. But if you only wear divers or g-shocks, and you “never wear a dress watch, ” ask yourself why. Stretch a little. Don’t buy a $1, 000 dress watch; but a black Orient Bambino for $150 might help you expand your horizons … and might be better on a job interview or at a wedding.

Too similar hit me hard. As I sit here with two casioaks, many diver watches, several Seikos and Casios.

But, Casio has a plethora of colorways for any given G-Shock! I just purchased yet another DW-6900 because it had the 4th of July colors with the American flag on the backlight screen. Love that watch!

I say consider what you like, vs what you need. I love my Invicta Pro Diver, but I also need a countdown timer so I don't forget when I have food in the oven. For that I have my Casio A-500.

The six other watches I own sit in the box and do nothing (except my G-shock during cold-weather months). So I can confirm impulse purchases are almost as bad for the budget as cigarettes are.

I have two identical Lorus Titanium RG877CX9. But they look completely different, one is as new, on a red Zulu strap the other is 20+ yrs old, worn smooth by use and lives on brown leather. Chalk and cheese.

Bought an Invicta Pro Diver on Amazon sale. Cheap as chips, awesome watch. I have a big wrist, it just is to bulky to my taste. Back to my Festina Extra F20250/2

Dress watch. Damn I love that watch as a daily ❤
