The title kills me. “Is it worth upgrading?” Upgrading from what? Most people don’t upgrade every year, so of course the difference isn’t huge from 15, but the bubble of tech reviewers is that you are approaching it like people have the 15 and are thinking about the 16…average person upgrades 3-4 years easily

Hence why I didn't upgrade from the 15 Pro Max. Not enough "new" things to justify an upgrade.

📌My Unpopular opinion: if it ain't broke and still has iOS support, don't buy a new one.

Since my 13 Pro is still fine, with no issues, iOS 18, 86% of 🔋health, i don't have any needs to upgrade.

Neither Dynamic Island, Action Button, Camera Button or 5x are deal breaker for me.
I use double/triple tap, Automations, Shortcurts on my lockscreen and homescreen so i'm cool.

13 Pro is a 4-5 years phone easy and living in France 🇫🇷, we will not have AI until 2025 at least, with no official release date because available in french language doesn't mean available in France.

16 Pro Max like every iPhone does the job but i prefer the small Pro.

What did you mean by, you “left it over night on charge and didn’t lose a percent?” Can you lose percentage while the phone is on charge?

I’m waiting on the OnePlus 13. If you’re a moderate to heavy user, you may want to consider this phone. Even if you have a newer model IPhone, if you can afford to get one for a back up or secondary phone, you should.

You can save some battery life on your IPhone & go that much longer without having to buy another one.

This is a feather coming from the 14 pro max and I love it! Also, I’d prefer my 16 PM to be wider for typing, it’s a bit narrow if you have big hands.

I am waiting for delivery of the 16 Pro Max. My current phone is an 11 Pro Max, but i'm only upgrading because my Face ID doesn't work and can't be repaired for under $300 and $300 is about what i'll end up paying for the 16PM with my provider's incentive deal. I hope it's a worthwhile upgrade.

Def a good upgrade for those rocking the XS, XR, and 11. I think the 12 through 14 can get by with another year or so.

Nice content. Just came across your page and am now a NEW sub. I upgraded from the 13PM to the 16PM 1TB and loving the battery life thus far: So far I’m charging the phone to only 85% and got 54 hours on a that single charge doing my normal daily usage including idle time.

The size is too much. I was already considering downgrading to the 16 Pro, and after using the 16 Pro Max for TWO HOURS, I said NOPE and went to Apple to exchange it for the 16 Pro. I’m loving it so far, especially its battery life for the size, even though I’m not blind and can feel the similarities to the 15 Pro lineup.

🐬 As a casual user my current iPhone 14 Pro Max is already enough with regards to features and battery life. But my usage might change especially the screen is now bigger and of course battery life. Thanks again Rjey for your insights.
