There would be life in twilight zone. About 12~18° into the dark side, depending upon spectrum emited by the star and refraction of the atmosphere.

I’m 100% convinced if you have a monitor, decent headphones and a microphone. You can say or make anything sound true by just acting astonished.

If EA sports made a planet. "You have to pay 59.99$ to unlock the other half of the planet"

Actually on a planet like this that's tidally locked they're technically would only be one strip of land that's habitable one side completely Frozen the other side burning fucking hot

Antarctica is technically a dessert because of the level of humidity

The sunny side would be at 400+ degrees Fahrenheit, even with Earths atmosphere. Imagine it being day all the time, the temperature would continue to increase and never cool down.

I think there is a separate habitable zone for planes that spin faster, slower or not at all. For non spinning planets the goldilocks zone might begin near the end of the regular speed goldilock zone.

the light side would be basically boiling hot, like 100-200°c or smth, but the twilight zone around the planet would be ideal, temperature wise. This is a fun concept, would love to see a planet thats just constantly dusk/dawn

Tidally locked planets are mostly unviable that would be a small strip of land between the light and the dark. It would have a safe temperature.

One side would be frozen (tundra) and the other side would be boiling. The nly habitable zone would be between the tundra and the boiling oceans.
Only thing is, the entire planet would be devoid of life because there would be no atmosphere, the narrow strip of land where things "Could" grow, would not be able to produce enoug oxygen fot the entire surface of the planet. The air would be stretched out.

Also, the side facing the sun would have water evaporating and moving towards the side facing away from the sun, all the water would freeze on the dark side, continueously building up.
There would literally be a 50 mile high wall of compacted ice stretching around the planet.
