The next day he dropped Blonde with an exclusivity deal on Apple a music which is where the $20 million figure comes from. Instead of owning 17% of royalties on blonde, he owns 70% because he already fulfilled his contract with the previous album. Love to see it

Ocean needed one more album to get out of his deal with his label, gave them Endless, an album of throwaways, used studio money secretly to record the real songs, saved it all to a USB. Then was dropped from his label, signed to exclusively drop his album Blonde to Apple Music for 20 Million dollars. Later singing to Columbia but only for publishing he is still independent to this day.
