Excellent and effective lecturing style and pace. I truly appreciate your materials in particular I enjoy the reasoning and explanations you offer while scripting! One of the best language tutors anywhere, IMHO.

WiseOwl, why do we go the extra step on creating "output" param? To me, it seems that the "select" statement in creating stored procedure IS in an essence the "output" param. In your previous video, we printed out the @NameList of actors without any "output" param. Thanks!

Interesting video and I enjoyed. But I have below question:
The way you explained a procedure returning one value and a number then it looks like FUNCTION.
If the procedure is written to return a value then why functions are written separately?

All your answers in my previous questions were attractive and correct.
Thanks

can you please explain why you are taking a variable @Films, rather why not directly work on the output parameter @FilmList in the select statement?

Hello, could you also add some video for the SQL Server 2016/2017 enhancements in T-SQL?

Hello Andrew,
Excellent video and very nicely explained!!

I have a question here,   I have followed your method and created a procedure  with input and output parameters, the same works when running from Management studio, now i want to extend to call a function in VBA and assign the output from procedure to a variable in VBA,
Can you guide how this can be done?

once again thanks a ton for these videos,

How to get result in different rows, here single row contains all the filmnames.

I am using the same movie script which u provided, but it contains the duplicate value, I got the result for output parameter. after select statement, I am adding Distinct keyword, so I am getting error at order by statement :- "order by item must appear in the select list if select distinct is applied"

someone guide me on this

it seems like there's an unnecessary step of declaring variable.
