Brilliant, 74 years old and never done gaming. I was given a 'sit in Spitfire ' for my birthday so I thought I must do some research. I've stumbled on numerous videos on the Spitfire linked to flight simulators. Blown away with what is available in simulators. This brings back memories of my first lesson. It was at a small uncontrolled field, and the instructor told me to taxi around for a few minutes. A few years later I had a weeklong vacation in the airplane, where I flew a lot and did not drive at all. When I got back I caught myself trying to steer the car out of the parking spot with my feet.

2 years later and still informative and desirable to complete. Some videos you start to lose interest but this was a good pace, covered a variety of topics and the information applies to in Flight Sim and in an aircraft. Thank you for the content!

I just started my PPL a few weeks back and on yesterday's flight I felt really disconnected to the aircraft. Towards the end, my instructor dimmed down the G1000 display so I couldn't see it and wow it made a huge difference. Love the point you made again at the end of your video about looking less at the instruments at first. Going to try the printout method to help memorize how things visually look.

Got my PPL in 1978 and simming for over 3 decades. I think I am going to get the MS2020. Looks really nice for VFR flying. Anyone getting into sims should think about getting a set of rudder pedals. Makes all the difference in the world, especially when working on crosswind landings. Enjoy your videos. One of my favorite sim aircraft I fly in the P3D sim, is the Majestic Q400.

Emilie, I have done four introductory flights but I've never brought it together for me to continue to get the PPL.

On one of my intro flights I got a crash course in taxiing because the instructor had a pullover jacket on that he decided to take off while we were on the taxi way. Of course he got tangled up when taking the thing off. I brought the aircraft to a stop and held the brakes while he got it untangled. When he saw that I handled that he asked me if I wanted to try taxiing and I said "sure". He saw that I knew what was needed so he directed me to just short of the runway and he took it from there.

There was something about his demeanor that just instilled confidence in me. I would have loved to continued training with him, but my contract expired and I had to move. I get that same vibe from you. I'll bet you were a great instructor! Thanks for these videos.

PS. I have a cat that has a white collar, all four white boots, white down his chest, a white dot on his nose and the rest of him is black. His name is Tux.

Just bought this flight sim and also bought a C182 to fly around in. Hopefully this "game" will help me be a better pilot faster.

The built in tutorials leave alot to be desired so this is actually nice to have.
Them not explaining that you want to let the yolk return to nutural is something that is surprising
