Always use a moist sponge, wring it out well. Using a wet sponge will add more water to the grout that's already been mixed with the right amount of water. Adding more water will weaken the grouting, and it might (probably will) fail eventually.

To get rid of that extra grout when you’re done always run the float over the excess grout when it’s a little wet. (The float is the tool she’s using to apply the grout) She didn’t do that so when she went to clean it with the sponge it was just making more of a mess

Wipe with sponge, turn over sponge, wipe. Rinse and repeat. Try not to wipe more than once on each side of the sponge. Keeps it clean.

Nowadays, easy grout pen is available so need to clean repeatedly but ..this method needs lots of work but works perfectly.

I just used black power grout. What a nightmare mess! 😂 I just got done wiping off the tiles to the point I can let it sit till tomorrow and buff off the tiles. Got some black grout on my newly painted walls. I cleaned it off the best I could but I'm sure I'll be touching up where it contacts with the floors. I'll stick with light colored grout from now on. My hands are even stained from the grout.

Fyi tiling with black grout on glazed compared to stone/pourous tile complete different ball game. I learnt that the hard way doing my own shower just now.! Light coloured tiles aswell, im still cleaning them down hence why im here watching this video. 😅 should of just got a glazed tile 😢

I’ve just done black grout on my white tiles in my bathroom, every time they get wet or I try to give them a soft wipe, the colour just bleeds down. I didn’t realise you could get sealers…would this solve my issue?
