Should have bought in 1992 instead of wasting time in the womb

No financial institution should be allowed to own 40% or more of the single family homes. This recession is paving a way for a monopoly on homes to further rid of the middle class. It would be wise for most Americans to not sell their homes if they're able to.I want to buy houses cheap in 2024 and maybe invest in stocks. When's the best time to buy stocks? Some say they make a lot, others warn the market is risky. Advice?

fear a housing crash due to people buying homes above asking prices with little equity. If prices drop, affordability and potential foreclosures may arise, worsened by future layoffs and rising living costs. I want to invest more than $300k, but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk.

More and more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.

After selling two homes in 2020, I'm anticipating a housing crisis in order to buy inexpensively. As a backup plan, I've been thinking about purchasing stocks. What recommendations do you have for the best time to buy? On the one hand, I keep reading and seeing trader earnings of over $500k each week. On the other side, I keep hearing that the market is out of control and experiencing a dead cat bounce. Why does this happen?

I sold a couple of properties in 2020 and have been waiting for a housing market crash to buy at lower prices. In the meantime, I've been considering investing in stocks as an alternative. Do you think it's a good time to buy stocks right now? I've heard that the market is chaotic and that we're seeing a "dead cat bounce." However, I also see and read about people making over $225k in weekly trades. How is that possible?

You know we are in a tight spot when the real estate guy tells you not to buy real estate.

Great video! it’s hard to nail down specific predictions for the housing market because it’s not yet clear how quickly or how much the Federal Reserve can bring down inflation and borrowing costs without tanking buyer demand for everything from homes to cars.

As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

Great timing Graham! I just closed on a house Monday! It was on the market for months and months. I got a great deal. Nothing wrong with the house. But it’s in a small city where there aren’t a lot of jobs. But then, I’m retired so I don’t care about the job market in the town. It is 20 minutes from another city of a somewhat larger size that has a great job market. I’ll have a lake view and peace and quiet. I’m happy with that.

Millienal here just bought a house 2024 and I never been happier. My home price increased 15, 000 since i purchased 😄. Also home maintenace and simple home repairs from fixing a leaky toilet, to simple plumbing even installing newoutlets doesn't cost much when you can do it yourself. I remodeled my parents entire restroom myself just from watching DIY youtube videos. Atm I remodeling my own garage from head to toe, new drywall, fixed up electricals, paint, new epoxy floors and diy cabinets and new led light bars, all learned from youtube and so far the total ocst is only $600. Pro tip: when working on electrical please have turn off all power from the main breaker and spend like 50 bucks on a voltage tester before working on it. Also someone quoted me $200 to install a ring camera flood light and i did it myself watching youtube again took me 30 mins. We are in a time of DIY and honeslty it feels so satifying and its super fun.

Best advice I can give to people buying is look at the satellite view for the neighborhood.

You can tell a lot about hoarding issues, area companies, hidden homeless camps.

I’m a new dad, I moved to the Bay Area a few years ago and I’m thinking of purchasing a single family home, but with real estate prices currently through the roof, is it still a good idea to buy a home or should I invest in stocks for now and just wait for a housing market correction? I heard Nvidia and AMD are strong buys.

Older millennial here! Got divorced in 2020 and moved to an apartment for a year to take my time looking for a home. Housing prices doubled, inventory plummeted, and interest rates skyrocketed. I was almost priced completely out of the market. I think you touched on nearly every one of my regrets. My plan is to just stay put for a good amount of time and course correct when it makes sense.

as someone who just wrapped an over budget, over time renovation

don't think you got away with going from 25 to 35% over heard it, I felt it, I cried.

I wouldn't say that I regret it, and I'm not sure many others do. But you really need to understand what you're getting yourself into. You're taking on a very large loan for 15 to 30 years. Are you okay with this? Do you understand the responsibility that it comes with? No matter what job you have, what problems you're going through, or what bad luck comes your way, you have to pay that mortgage.

Mine isn’t regret about the home itself, but more about the HOA it’s in.
