Year 3 Maths Lesson - Grid Method Multiplication 3 digit by 1 digit.
In this maths lesson we will learn how to use the grid method of multiplication to solve large 3 by 1 digit questions.
For example:
344 x 5 =
Our first step is to partition the numbers into their tens and ones. Once we have done this we can learn that solving the individual parts is MUCH easier.
Our last step is to add up the individual answers we have just got - to give us our final answer!
