How to Use the Rug Doctor® Pro Deep Carpet Cleaner Rental

Deep cleaning carpets doesn’t have to be an all-day task! Rug Doctor® carpet cleaner rentals are easy to use and provide professional-level results.

Before cleaning with the Pro Deep Carpet Cleaner, vacuum the area thoroughly. Prepare the machine by pulling the handle back, then pressing the clean water tank release button to remove the tank. Fill the tank with hot tap water and add two capfuls of a Rug Doctor cleaning solution. Reattach the clean water tank and plug the machine into an outlet.

Now it's time to get cleaning! Press the left side of the power button to turn the machine on to “CARPET” mode. Press the “SOAP & SCRUB” solution button while making 1 forward and 1 backward pass. Then make 1 forward and backward pass without pressing the solution button to suction up more dirty water. Repeat passes as needed depending on the carpet soiling. The light on the machine will indicate if the clean water tank is empty. When this light turns on, refill the clean water tank the same way as before.

When you are done cleaning, follow these steps to clean the machine and avoid cleaning fees. Start by emptying and rinsing the dirty water tank and clean water tank. Next, lay the machine flat on the ground and use a cloth to remove any debris that may be stuck in the bottom brushes or wheels. Finally, do a general wipe down of the machine and reattach the tanks.
