I spoke to an older man and he told me the opposite - he said the older I get the less I care about what I do and more how much money it brings because I care about my time outside of work. And work /role doesn’t really matter

Problem is that MOST of the world revolves around "menial tasks/ labor" no one can be doing the work that they love 100% of the time... it's important to find a career you don't hate. That's the key 🗝️

Somewhat agree, sometimes its necessary to do the high pay job you hate for a few years so you can afford to do the work that fulfills you

I work in technology (30+ years) and I can tell you people who want to be in technology can achieve great things, and people who want the paycheck for being in technology cannot achieve much... with a confidence above 90%.

Nope. I see ppl having 3 options, hate your job but make a lot of money, love your job but make little money ot in a very rare case love your job and make a ton of money. Never and i mean never get a job you hate where you make little money

Yeah I totally picked my schooling and career based off of the income potential. Software engineering. I've worked dozens of jobs and hated each one. (Construction, property management, call center, banking, plumbing, retail) Might as well get paid well.

As for me, I don’t like to work at all, so if I have to work I have to make the most money possible. Debt free life is owe-some.

Does this account for spouse income? My mom was an elementary school gym teacher and is a millionaire because my dad owns an engineering firm.

Just follow your passion and one day youll become an expert and be able to make millions, regardless of what your passion is. If you enjoy it, you will excel!

Lles schwab guarantees if you give them 20 years youll be a millionaire

Bullshit Dave. Go be an art teacher and see it will take you 30+ years to be a millionaire. Go be an engineer and see it will take you less than 10 years and a multimillion in 15. If you’re miserable as engineer pick another high paying career.

If you have no idea what you want to do, shouldnt you pick high yield profession?
