Finding the right sized jewelry for my septum piercing. Trying on 4 different sizes of a 1.2mm/16g hinged seamless ring.

Glad to see you visually explain septum diameter. People often confuse their gauge and diameter with size when ordering their jewelry. 8mm hangs for my gf like a 12mm would for me even though we're both 16g.

Love this vid :) I’ve been searching for a 9mm ring too and ordered one on Etsy! Not sure why 9mms aren’t that common in piercing stores as they seem to be a really perfect size!

I finally got good at changing out my jewelry but it took 5-6 months! I used to be scared every time. now I can find the hole without even trying to look (not like I can see it up there anyway - it's kinda high lol). don't give up!

I can't wear 8mm rings. I got one stuck in my nose once because it was too tight and it freaked me out hahah

I think 9mm looks best on you! Currently I’m wearing 8mm and its kinda too small i think. But i never thought 9mm ring are able in the market. Though that I ordered 10mm just now, I just wanna give a try. Thanks for the information in this video it really helped! Love from Malaysia!

I got my septum pierced around 8 weeks ago and I'm about to get it changed for the first time. I definitely prefer the 16g (pierced with a 14g) and i'm in the same boat, I got an 8mm circular barbel and the balls sit just inside my nostrils and the 10mm I got pierced with is now too big for my face after the swelling went down. I am a middle size with everything, including shoes and clothes, so I'm on the hunt for a 9mm too lol. This video was really helpful, great to see a comparison with someone with the same type of sizing as me. I got mine from Crazy Factory and they are super affordable and come in the right size, thanks so much! <3

I think both 9 and 10 are great fits . I’d make use of both of them, as long as you’re not prone to accidents then the 10mm is beautiful too!

I agree with you. 8mm rings (and horseshoes) are barely visible for my nose, 10mm jewellery is too big but 9 is perfect. It is indeed frustrating to find interesting 9mm 1.6mm jewellery

Thanks, also deciding to pierce my own septum and this is really helpful for initial sizing, I don't really want to buy rings I'd end up not wearing

I get a dry/flaky nose too a little bit with my septum, think it usually calms down when I’ve changed my jewellery, must be because your nose gets a bit angry at your for fiddling around eg I sometimes struggle to close a clicker or put a ball on a horse shoe, I think that’s why x
