Today we a showing you how to grow Coriander (Cilantro) from seeds. It is an easy herb to grow at home and can be grown in the garden or in a container.

You do not need to split or scarify the Coriander seeds if they are fresh, in good conditions they will germinate in around 10 - 14 days.

You can leave a few plants to ‘go to seed’ or 'bolt' and then collect your own seeds for the next year.

Coriander (Cilantro) is really a cool season crop, in very hot weather it tends to bolt and go to seed early. However it does not like really cold weather.

The same technique of sowing the seed works both for containers or the garden.

Coriander can be grown indoors in a warm sunny position.

the seeding look very dense. Do we pull some out and thin them? it is not mentioned...and "not too cold and not too hot"? how do you define them? 😏

It is much better to split the sseds...which you can gently do with a sandpaper...each seed has 2 potential plants...it cuts the germination time by almost half...just remember water it well...and let it soak in some sun....but see that the soil is not water logged

Not really much info. I would like to know how to avoid long and hard stems domination over leaves.
