Today’s video is an unboxing and review of the 50 pastel tone set of holbein pencils which I recently purchased from eBay UK.

I donr it Got Bonus and brought from ebay from Japan today 27th December 2023 . Watched this for the 3rd time hahaha Merry Chrimbo xxx I got really spoiled at Xmas .I got 72 set B of Ciao copics and 84 Neocolor Caren d ARCH I have a hand color scanner so I can print off my coloring pictures on nice paper hahahah thank you so much for sharing

I've seen so many videos about these pencils so I got 20 of the pastels from Dick Blick in the US. They are so pretty and I've used them on a small picture from Worlds of Wonder. I just love them. Thank you for the review! 💖

I also have this pastel set. But as it was so expensive and precious to me, I am basically not using them! But now I really want to get them out and play a little bit more with them myself. I had used them on one page and since then I haven't. I liked them, when I used them a lot! But I guess it always depends a little bit on the paper. Not every paper likes every pencil. I also heard negative voices about them. But in the end it is always personal preference and as a collector, I love them a lot, because of their beauty and their colors! Thanks for sharing and I wish you a lot of fun with them!

Those pencils are so pretty!! So, so pretty. I was really hoping you’d say you hated them!! Keeping a book of “paper types and pencils that love them” is a great idea!! Might have to steal that one. And I literally turned my phone away from me while you had your page on screen 😆😆😆 Thanks for sharing!!

This is a gorgeous set. One I wish I could own even if i am a amtuer colorist and always will be. Have you seen the pencils Lovella has a subscription to? I believe you need to obligate to a two year subscription. There are 500 pencils total and each month she gets a 24 set every month. They are also quite beautiful but I dont think its something I can afford unless I coloring gets better, lol. I can’t recall the name but she shows the set she receives every month. Thought you would be interested. As always thanks for the show.

I am not a “pastel” color person in any way (clothes, decoration, etc) but these are gorgeous!
The peachy/pinkish colors are beautiful 😻
I just checked on Amazon Mexico and they are actually not that expensive, to give you an idea the Schpirrer Farben and the Monarch Black Widows are more expensive than these 🤣. I cannot understand prices on Amazon.

As soon as one of our local art stores here in US (Blick Art) had these for sale I ran over and purchased a small sampling of them. I loved them and had to immediately place another order for a few more colors. LOL I have a handful of colors now, but would like to get more at some point soon, even the full set, but they are so pricey. I luckily received a set of the Luminance a few years ago for Christmas from my partner. They are also lovely pencils. I have been using my Holbein on a regular basis. I just like them so much and they are about $3 here per pencil, still pricey but manageable. However, I use my Luminance sparingly because they are almost $5 a pencil here. Also, I believe Jackson's Art in the UK sells open stock of the Holbeins as well, just an FYI. Enjoy! TFS!

What timing Emma, I am lusting after this set and another birthday is imminent! Do I or don't I; like you I don't need them other than in an addictive obsessive way. I'm caught in the horns of a dilemma!

Those Colors are just so beautiful :) i got the three 12 sets and a few openstock. I do like them but i am not sure if i need the big 150 set...

Jackson’s Art are my go to stockist in the UK for open stock. Cult Pens don’t stock Holbein 😊 £3 a pencil so akin to Luminance and Lightfast! x
