Skip the Sub…..and buy the Sea Dweller 16600…..it’s the best sport watch in its category. These were priced higher than the Sub’s and have solid end links and the upgrade steel was used before the Sub models.

Can you do one that’s below $5000? I’d love to know some other vintage options other than just Omega Seamaster

1. Instead of boring SUB I would buy Universal Geneve Micro-rotor diver asymmetric case. 2. Instead of ubiquitous AP, I would buy Chopard St. Moritz Chronograph with Frederique Piguet movement and much more interesting Genta case. 3. Instead of ubiquitous speedmaster I would get Breguet Aeronavale.

Universal Geneve! So many choices here. The Polerouter (Gerald Genta’s first hit design), Compax, Tri Compax. So many amazing choices under 10k.

Was going to say a Heuer Carrera 2447 so glad to see it turn up! I'd go for one with a scale in preference too - 2447 T is for tachymeter by the way, not telemeter. There were no telemeter Carreras until TAG Heuer made one as a reedition, which I thought was a bit too anachronistic. D would be nice too, P might stretch the budget.
