13:13 "This is the rich man's worldtimer because I saved about 30 grand buying this". Smart, reasonable, creative and humble, i.e., pure class. This is why TGV has the most successful watch channel on youtube.

This would be a great series. The vintage watch market is so much fun. And like you mentioned this is a weird segment full of risk but it’s also full of fun pieces that you can just wear and enjoy for their uniqueness. It would be fun to learn about more pieces available at different price points.

I love an old watch, they remind me of simple times when my father was off to work and the last thing he would slap on his wrist right after his wedding ring! He's been retired for some time, however he continues to sport his love for watches and enjoys them to this day... He will be 82 in July this year!
Thanks for the history lesson and Horoligy on these fine time pieces!
Mucho success on you new Endeavors with watch box, but you do realize HUGO is the Star of your channel! Lol, great content and media my friend!

I myself have a 1978 Hamilton Field Watch that's still in my work rotation. I regulated it myself and now it's pretty spot on and no longer "slow".
We got a new kid in the network team who kept being late...
"Boy, the watch on my wrist is older than you and yet keeps track of time better than you do."
He didn't last long.

I'm going to miss the background of the "War Room" so much which I have to come love to see over the years, but I trust your elegant taste and judgement will bring something equally as tasteful and "cozy" to your new setting in Philadelphia. Congratulations on your recent achievement. This was a great video, as always, TGV. Thank you so much for producing such great content!

this transition from the black n white intro to the hip hop beat! So smooth! And the right key, too! Amazing

Lovely programming for a Sunday afternoon with my daughters. My mother owned a mechanical bulova from the early 70s and just recently gave it to me because “your father said you like watches”. I’m thinking about getting it serviced and keeping it for my eldest daughter. Like I said before, TGV, we are building a legacy.

Art Deco Tank watches are awesome. Especially the curvex models.

I have a gold smiths astral that was given to my granddad for his 25 years service in 1965 and it still works.so I have an original vintage piece with a lot of sentimental value to me.great vid.

Great take on some classic watches TGV! I have 6 Benrus Vietnam watches I have been buying over the last 3 years. The prices as you said can be extremely cheap but some insane around $1000+US!😱Thankfully I got in before they took off. Maybe I pushed the prices up🤣 I am a fanatic Steve McQueen fan & suffice to say my Benrus matches my ‘68 GT390 Fastback Mustang. 😎 Also I have the almost identical Bulova you bought. I love the Art Deco look. Such a classy, classic watch. I collect vintage along with new. Too much choice on all fronts! Thx for the vid!👍🏼

A couple of years ago my father received a vintage Bulova watch from a mate for Christmas. 34mm case round with small lugs and acrylic crystal. Stamped made in New York with a serial number of the year 1963, the year Kennedy was shot. A nice piece with a story and a bit of history.

A sweet spot ….I remember as a child my first watch was a ..Unicorn Automatic, and a hand wind Unicorn Incabloc. These watches and your passion have ignited and jogged my memory of the watches I’ve had….the Omega Railmaster, has an interest for me also, as my great grand father worked as a Railway employee, who I am researching. The Omega Railmaster is still on my shopping list.

I picked up a beat-up Gruen Precision for 35 bucks not too long ago. It still keeps good time. The case has corrosion, and the dial shows some signs of age, but It's a gorgeous old watch that I'm not afraid to wear. ...and wear it I do! I'm an usher in a large art-deco theater, and it fits so perfectly with their uniform! The old lume is utterly useless in the dark theater, but in that particular role, I'm never without a flashlight, so it's not the end of the world. I have it on a brown crocodile strap. Mmm! I love it so much!

I recently bought 2 of the coolest vintage watches, a 1949 Hamilton Clinton and a 1960’s Waltham dress watch that would make Mad Men jealous. I think it’s incredibly cool and awesomely nostalgic with a historic nod to wearing a 50+ and 73 year old watch.

As soon as you said "Smiths" my memory was peaked. About once a week I drive around my MG MGB, the speedometer is the exact one you showed in the video. I couldn't remember exactly why "Smiths" stuck out in my head but when I saw that Speedo I knew immediately. I always wondered why it said Smiths but never took the time to find out. I feel like a missing puzzle piece of my brain was just put where it belongs haha
