Product placement is nothing new in movies, but one Chinese firm -- electronics manufacturer TCL -- is reportedly going all out with for Iron Man 3.

Casino royal wasn't the only bond film with Sony product placement. Pretty much every film since Roger Moore's days have had Sony's products placed every where. Any way films need to have something from the real world in them.

What's wrong with Casino Royale's product placement? Bond needed a laptop, and he used one. No matter what brand it was it would have shown clearly in the film.

They are designed in America but produced in China. Reason being it is boatloads cheaper to do it overseas. If you thought some products were expensive now, production in America would raise prices so high you wouldn't believe it...

I'm not too sure if this move is the smartest, especially as the Chinese probably have enough money to make their own Iron Man trilogy in which they could have all the China specific product placement that they want. I do think that buying the Chinese Theatre was a smart move.

i always get a chuckle that electronics firms advertise in sci-fi... especially iron man.... Tony Stark would have all custom tech. he's a super tech genius even if he happens to use shell of a TCL product for laziness or to conceal the awesomeness with in. ther no way the contents would be TCL.

True that. They're not horrible but in terms of quality, its def medicore. I am Chinese and frankly, I'd rather buy stuff made anywhere else if I had a choice over anything made in China.
