I can't go back from FreeSync anymore it's just awesome and FreeSync monitors have great prices, thanks AMD. <3

Right now everyone is hating, but in time they will learn

Freesync, it’s like G-Sync, but without having to shell out a couple hundred extra for overpriced proprietary garbage.

The AMD Vega promotion recommended a Vega GPU with an Asus MX34VQ ultrawide, so I thought I'd go for 'team red' this time and get both the recommended monitor and the Vega 64 Liquid. Playing with Freesync On is so much fun that the strobing effect sometimes makes me feel like I'm at a rave, especially when it all of sudden makes me all confused, sleepy and dizzy and it's like I skip forwards in time a bit, so that must mean I've had a lot of fun. It also adds a great immersive 1910's film reel feel when playing Battlefield 1. So glad I poured my savings into this.

What about enhanced sync? The only freesync monitors in my price range all have red accents and stuff like that which wouldn't fit in my colour scheme, and freesync is something i don't necessarily need with the 144hz monitor i'm getting, but say if i'm using enhanced sync, will that affect my 144hz capabilities? thanks

"I want the frames per second to not matter." I'd have people say that, too, if I couldn't perform in terms of FPS/$. Don't get me wrong, FreeSync is awesome and the G-Sync tax sucks, but AMD right now isn't able to offer a competitive high-end GPU so FreeSync is pretty much all they can refer to in order to seem competitive nevertheless. 1080s are cheaper than the cheapest reference Vega 64 and consume less power at the same time. And they were actually even cheaper some 3 months ago. They have been on the market for 15 months and have been at current Vega 64 prices since March of this year.

If it wasn't for freesync I would have jump ship and gotten a 1080 for the first time in 15yrs. I picked up a 4k samsung with it after finishing my build. I'm lucky I have a rx but need more power for 4k. Vega isn't perfect but it's desperately needed by your gaming community.

If only I could get Freesync to behave for very long :(
It works _sometimes, _ then promptly breaks again.

I paid way to much for vega... my only hope is that

1. Freesync monitors stay low priced so I can enjoy this card and that I paid too much for at this point a gsync and Freesync 2 setup have the same cost now.

2. more games devs support vulcan and amd open standards. (slowly but surely) amd needs to work with devs that heavily rely on invidia game works it's not just enough to make the tools but they also have to help train creators how to take advantage of those tools invidia is killing it here.

3. amd drivers get better(it takes time) but to be fair WTF AMD for the half finished blockchain driver honestly it should last on the list of things to do Raideon group has learned nothing from fury x and stunts like this is only going to hurt the company as a whole.

4. vega nano comes out and the miners rush to that card (same on die performance lower tdp lower ROI (if nano comes out it might give the 56 and 64 a chance to breath amongst gamers that 100 dollar late adopter FEE will go away and sane pricing comes back. FLOOD THE MARKET WITH NANO AMD! just use lower binned chips in those cards (hynix)

5.more hbm2 is produced (more is on the way hynix has started mass production of it's chips. I got my card early because I don't feel hynix is up to the task and I don't want their chips anywhere near my system! Samsung die for life!

Too bad Freesync seems not to work on Ultrawides 100hz 2k

It really bugs me that Nvidia could _easily_ support FreeSync in their drivers, but they choose to make life worse for everyone in order to push their expensive & over-engineered G-sync on people who would be well served by FreeSync. This is why I don't even consider Nvidia as an option anymore. I don't need the fastest GPU in the world, and not giving Nvidia a dime feels right to me. If they change their tune, I'll change my tune. I know Nvidia can survive without my money, but I also know I'm not alone in seeing the lack of FreeSync support for what it is: a great big middle finger to all consumers, proudly displayed.

Amd Vega another flop like the old Fury... 15 months later then the Geforce 10 series, and yet it can't beat the 1080 Gtx... far more power draw. Its not in stock and the prices went sky rocket .

VEGA=FAIL
