I hate when people say “Medical Grade” or “Military grade” dude there is nothing special about the plastic or steel we use in healthcare or the ones the military uses. I’ve used plastic items used by laymen that will put plastic shit we use at work to shame.

May I ask what brand and model the microscope-shaped coffee grinder in the video is? Thank you.

Thx for this video. One thing people need to understand is that there is other dual boiler heating so fast and consuming less energy. And you can also switch the steam boiler entirely.
The plastic parts are actually a great idea because heat transfer is the biggest issue on E61 groups. Also its easier to clean.
The only annoying thing to me is you have too little clearance for the PF and no Volumetric. At this pricepoint…

Does the Micra model have a duel Boiler for both coffee and the stream wand?

Good video except the defensive response to a totally valid point about clearance of spouts. Just say that’s how we make it compact in design, it still works but with a small adjustment in workflow.

Must say the plastic pieces on the PF are a horrible idea. In a market where customers want to see as much (preferably shiny) stainless steel and wood, skimping on the PF is a miscalculation. Fortunately it's easy to upgrade and I suspect that customers for this type of machine would likely upgrade even a standard PF eventually with something even nicer. Thoughts?

Put a shot timer on it, like the mini, and I would consider it.

Do you like this machine more then the Profitech Pro 800 ?

Price aside, this machine is a nonstarter for me. No way to control the temperature without the app. The steam wand is too short, the distance from the portafilter to the cap is too small. I am curious if they will change any of that in the future…

Hey! It’s homebrew challenge! Just came across this

Owner here. The short chubby wand is extremely annoying. I do not like not being able to fit cups under the spouted portafilter, either

for the first time I see someone taking the strainer out of the portafilter to fill it 🤦🤦 It's cold and that's not conducive to an espresso. I stopped the video afterwards.🤷

Why is the side of the machine plastic with a bunch of La Marzocco labels? I thought this was meant for home use? That might ultimately be the deciding factor in not getting one. That will look horrible on a kitchen counter top.
