Regarding steam comparison, if you changed the 2 hole to a 4 hole on the Synchronika and set the steam boiler temp higher which you can do from the PID you will get 2 bar pressure. Steam performance would be a lot closer then. I looked at getting the LM, but it was a lot more expensive and having to use the app to get the shot timer is a let down in this price range. I'm very happy with the Synchronika.

4:10 i think LM's tamper is convex due to LMs having a screw at the middle of the shower screen, so the pressure at the center will be less and puck wont have screw marking?

Great review--two machines I am thinking of. Just a couple questions--you mentioned Americanos, which are my breakfast preference. Do you use the boiler water or heat some separately? Also, do you run into any problems trying to use a scale with the Linea Micra? Kind of a short distance to the portafilter.

Thanks for the video but you need to work on your steaming skills. You tapped the hell out of second milk pitcher from ECM so the milk got separated into a layer of foam and a layer of water 😂

So, they both come with portafilters, milk jugs, and steam wands... Tough decision! 😂

You missed the biggest difference between those machines.
LM has a LM Brew group and ECM uses the e61. The heat up time is dramatically different. The micra is up to temperature in about 8 Minutes. The ECM needs 30 minutes to fully warm up.
The ECM has a shot timer, the LM doesn’t(wich is very disappointing for this price).

Last thing I need is $4k+ machine that relies on an app that's going to be discontinued whenever manufacturer feels so. Lul.

I went with the la Marzocca because it is bulletproof. The La Mazocca is used most often by commercial coffee shops, because it is more robust, with less repairs.

No mention of the app? ECM has none. LM provides schedule and other features. Seems relevant to the comparison?
