OS9 is sublime, the pinnacle for me personally.

Major respect to MacOS for retaining the same core UI introduced way back in Cheetah.
Windows 8 and 10 abandoned the pinnacle of Windows UI that Win7 was famous for, and I’m ready to go out and get my first Mac as my next laptop since I can likely feel at home with each new MacOS version for years to come.

It's interesting to see how during the *late* 90s Apple's OS was less better looking than Windows. With the release of OS X, though, Apple really took the lead by managing to design a UI that was more beautiful than Microsoft's. Nevertheless, while I realize haters gonna hate, I still use them both and believe they each have their purpose in today's computing world. But deep down inside, I know I prefer macOS, and can't wait for High Sierra.

Brings back memories of when I got my first mac, the white Core Duo 2.0 iMac with OS X Tiger, the first Intel processor iMacs. :). Now I'm rocking macOS High Sierra 10.3.4

I absolutely love your history videos. They are just so clean and refined. I was just wondering what editor you use.

That was great! Thank you for making that video. I can't remember exactly when I moved over to Mac, but it was over 12 years ago. I always regret that I didn't start sooner. :)

My very first one was Cheetah. This brings back so many memories. Even more than Windows XP, my favorite operating system ever...

I started my Mac life pretty late, my first version of OS X was Mountain Lion. :)

My dad gave me our old family 2010 iMac. My parents haven’t ever updated it and it has so much stuff in it and is very slow. It still runs 10.6.8. Can’t wait to factory reset it and get it up to high Sierra

Great video. Thanks for making it. However couple of errors I noticed quickly. Mac OS high Sierra officially introduced apple file system not Sierra. Also time machine was a big new feature of Leopard and should have been included. Cheers.

System 7.5.5 and Mac OS 7.6 Rocked. They were fast, bloat free and just got the job done. Mac OS 9, is still my fave though from a UI perspective.. I still use it for a specific program, and not this emulated malarkey, it's on a G4 iMac.
