Just the Facts: Walkabout Resources
Показать описание
Walkabout Resources Ltd (ASX:WKT) is nearing full production capacity of its Lindi Jumbo Graphite Project in Tanzania says Proactive’s Tylah Tully as she reports Just the Facts.
The company reported it is currently operating at just 15% below nameplate capacity, with a recent daily production of ninety-four bags of graphite concentrate.
The production ramp-up allowed Walkabout to surpass its theoretical break-even point in August, meaning potential revenue will now cover production costs.
WKT reports it has achieved good pricing for its graphite product, with a large backlog of unfilled sales orders received from selected end-users.
To date, pricing has been in the range of US$1080 to US$1600 per tonne for coarse flake… at 94% to 95% total graphitic carbon, and US$500 to US$750 s per tonne of fine flake at 90% to 95% total graphitic carbon, outside of China.
The company says the significant increase in plant availability and utilisation over the past month reflects its focus and has enabled it to concentrate on optimising the value attributes of the product.
Lindi Jumbo is already demonstrating the benefits of its very high-grade deposit, therefore operating at the lowest end of the cost curve while achieving a higher basket price.
