Nvidia has better features for streaming but AMD is generally better when it comes to pure FPS per dollar which is what most gamers are after

I streamed for 4-6 months regularly - and still do occasionally - on a 6700xt. Never had performance issues in game, nor recording issues. I know the encoder is slightly less crisp but I can't tell without pixel-peeping stills.

I have both cards and i use them both on Arch Linux I use the gaming PC with RTX 4060 and the RX 7600 I use for youtube video content creating and rendering.

For streaming, i use a ryzen 5 3600x and rtx 2060

I have amd gpu but I use my intel igpu to stream quicksync is basically just as good as nvenc. Frees up my gpu fully for games.

And when testing, did you switch to the second bios "Performance"? The card has dual bios. Let's turn on the second bios and test again.I believe that if you have installed the latest drivers and turned on the second bios, the results will be quite different. 😂

How is it rx 7700 vs rtx 4060?
Because the 4060 is 11% better than the 7600 compared to the 7700 being only 7% better than the 4060

We favor AMD because the performance is comparable. Pricewise, AMD has been pro-consumer for decades
And we have no compatibilty issues between AMD Ryzen CPU and AMD graphics adapter. In contrast, with any non-AMD selection, there is more of a leap with two different OEMs.

So, buy high-end amd for gaming and outdated low-end nvidia for streaming. I'll totally upgrade my gtx970 to an amd card when I have the money

In live streaming and video recording it's great Nvidia GPU and 33gb ram Is very helpful

I’m running an rtx 3060 12gig with the ryzen 7 7700 for streaming and gaming(I know the cpu is overkill).Next gen I’m thinking about switching to a AMD gpu like the rx 8800xt (If it ever comes out).
