Gem! You should put pieces of roof/wood floating on the surface in the water near the tentacles as well as pieces of "brick" (mushroom) that sunk. It would really emphasize the destruction and the multiples attacks on the house

An idea for why the house is being attacked could be that they are a pearl diver and had found a really giant clam shell that had a huge pearl like object hidden in it. They took it home and the researcher realized it isn't a pearl but an egg from the monster

Just for future reference, you won't place the fireworks if you put the fireworks in your offhand instead of your crossbow since the game prioritizes your main hand over your offhand.

i rlly love how the entire base is coming together, honestly hoping in the swampy area there’d be a witch’s “mansion” like a glamorized witch hut

I think some water dripping off the tentacles would help sell the scale and movement. Maybe the one grabbing the bits of the house has some water flinging back, and little bits of debris still mid-air falling from it.

Also, maybe you can make a tentacle thats grabbing and trying to sink a little boat, maybe even get Scar to do some of his glass fire magic on the boat

18:40 I think adding a little bit of debris floating in the water will add some more realism, like the part of the structure was so weakened that it fell in the water. Also, I just noticed the mushrooms on the skull, and it's such a great detail!

quick suggestion: if you want the tentacle to have more movement, you could put a few planks or slabs in mid air like they're falling to the ground! love the base!

You should make a cult basement or something where they make sacrifices to appease the tentacles, or maybe signs of an ancient cult, warning of the dangers. Maybe a cave painting in the fight club.
