Probably the biggest advantage of the 2013 Civic Si over the 1998 Integra Type-R: you don't have to worry about your 2013 Civic Si getting stolen.

One of the best things about the Integra Type-R, the shock of passengers when they find out there is no vanity mirror! :D

I do miss those 90's Hondas. Light, responsive, no frills... not looking like spaceships is also a plus for me.

Civic Si has 201 horsepower from 2.4l 4 cylinder.
Integra Type R has 195 horsepower from 1.8l 4 cylinder
That's 15 years of evolution...

still mad at honda for completely killing off the integra DC's and focusing everything on the fuckin civic -__-

Type R is legend. Quite easily the best performance FWD Honda made, if not the best FWD ever.

I miss my Integra. It was my first car and I had bought brand new. I have had many cars since then and still miss how connected to the road it felt. When the Vtec kicked in it was like music to my ears. With a few go fast goodies it was also quick. As they said in the video the cars back then were built to drive and were not filled with electronics. They were also easy to work on and quite reliable. I am worried about the new cars when they reach 15 years old like that type R. Will it even be worth fixing them or will we just have to throw them out or live with half the car not working? lol...

Take this from a current 2013 Civic Si owner. The car is great as a daily and with just tires, is quite fast on track. I've been to 2 track days and have had guys that had an M2, M6, newer Mustang GT with 400HP, and even an RS3 come up to me with amazement with how fast I was taking corners. Some even had problems keeping up with me on track.

What am I getting at? The comparison between this car and the Integra Type-R are just what they say, apples to oranges. But tire choice is also a huge factor in a car's handling. Running just 1 sec slower than the ITR on all seasons is actually not bad at all. With summer tires, they truly show what the car is capable of and with some serious extreme summer tires, they're a completely different car that can hang with much higher priced and higher HP cars. Currently have RE71Rs on my car and daily on some cheapo all seasons to get to and from track.

I would still choose the ITR over that new civic

The Integra Type R is the most fascinating road car that I've ever driven and I will regret selling mine for the rest of my life.
This car makes you feel like a professional race driver and it doesn't need a meter for the Vtec, you can hear and feel it from 5800 all the way up to 8970 Rpm.

The 05-06 RSX-S was Honda's last powerful FWD vehicle. The Si that came after is just a shadow of the RSX.

That piece of crap civic wallows around like a drunk elephant. And that ridiculous power meter and vtec light...what a joke. Integra by far for me.
