Dude was worried he was gonna have to pay $$ to fix damage 🤷 Seems like valid frustration, and a good sport at the end

To be fair, the guy had every reason to be upset. Still a monstrous comeback by Tall Ben.

Edit: I like this drama more than Drive to Survive.

Love to see it. I know the older guy, live in his area. Super helpful and knowledgeable guy. He helps me work on my car and lets me use his shop. Steve is a cool dude, racing is just stressful. 🤙

his anger was rude but completely understandable.
This isnt a pro level race with unlimited funding cheapest scenario, even with track/motorsport insurance, your ego driving probably stll ended up costing him

Looking out for his colleague and then respectful even after the overtake. That's a guy who you should buy a beer for.

This was 100% wholesome. I saw the previous post and thought the anger at you was a bit unsportsmanlike but emotions are high in Motorsport so I give the guy some credit! Even more so that he respected that pass!

He didn’t lay hands on anyone or go off the handle, he just told Ben to dial it down, which he needed to. These guys don’t have race team money. They are just buds sharing the costs so they can go racing. They can’t afford to have people just sending it into a corner and slamming into them and potentially causing major damage that they will be liable for. Huge costs are apart of the sport and everyone on the track recognizes that, but that’s why they also expect the respect of there equipment same as they will do there best to show yours the same respect. Everyone understands things will happen from time to time, but in this instance it was simply a driver being far too aggressive trying to make a pass and nearly costing not only himself but his fellow racers a lot of money for simply being impatient and over aggressive. Good job by Ben to reel it back in and race clean side by side, even on his final overtake

"I got back at you then" dude literally didn't even care. Men's ability to just let their emotions fly off the handle in the moment and then they're best buds later will always amaze me

Im Canadian and can confirm “Fkin dial it down pal” is only one notch below “Im about to put ya in the hospital for free, eh”

That is what racing is all about. You put it all on the track and enjoy it after. Great sportsmanship!

That's what sportsmanship is all about. Recognizing faults and congratulating others where it counts. Bravo

Unbelievably wholesome. I love how he treated you with respect after the race since you treated him and his car with respect during.

The real hero is the person out there racing the blue four-door Maxima. Run what you brung and have a blast doing it.

One of the beauties of great sportsmanship is the ability to express frustration, but not bearing grudges for it afterwards.

A lot of adrenaline when racing wheel to wheel but his reaction was pretty fair, as long you can accept responsibility and move on that’s all that matter

This is what’s racing about!!! Old man had the right to be upset but it’s even better he handled his emotion and left the track on the track
