This week the just released RTX 4060 Ti just got a substantial price drop which is definitely a surprise considering how soon it is to launch. Also AMD is getting close to launching their RX 7800 XT, and the specs look very interesting.

The problem with the 4070 and 4070 ti is I don't even want them due to that mere 12 GB ram. I don't want to pay $$$ then have to lower texture quality because I ran out of VRAM. Even if the 4070 was $450 I don't think I'd buy it.

When the 4060 Ti has lower video editing performance than 3060 Ti and sometimes even than a 2060 Super, I just can’t see why people would be interested - especially when that offsets the one selling point of the AV1 acceleration.

Since the 5000 series are coming out in Q3 2024, the most logical action right now is to keep using your current graphics card, or if you need an upgrade, you should buy a pre-owned 3000 series.

If Nvidia drops prices for RTX 4070 Ti to 800€, i'm buying that one and i'm not waiting for RX 7800XT, if not then i'll wait. The cheapest RTX 4070 Ti is: Inno3D RTX4070 TI X3 12GB GDDR6X, 943, 57 €. I wanted to buy RTX 4070 but it's such a disappointment, i just gave up on this GPU.
