I've just realized that I have never seen garretts popcorn in anything but a giant decorated tin. A Christmas staple, honestly.

If you're ever in Chicago - go to Garrett's in person - get the popcorn while it's still hot. Nothing in your life will ever top it. The smell alone is heaven. I worked around the corner from a Garrett's and there was always a line out the door - worth every second spent waiting.

Garrett's is the best! People line up outside and you can smell the popcorn for blocks downtown!

Live a half hour outside of Chicago and of those items Garretts is the well known institution. Going to one of their shops downtown, or at a mall or the airport, standing in line and getting that mix fresh and hot is the best. Our son is in theater and so after shows he doesn’t want flowers, he wants a big bag of Garretts. Yes the mix is strange but it works when eaten together. You can get up to 3 gallon tins of the stuff decorated with Chicago sports teams. Oh and about those accents…. yikes. Watch more old SNL superfans sketches!

So great how everyone liked everything in this one! I worked hospitality near Chicago's airport for a while and loved how all of the flight crews from other places stocked up on Garrett's (and frozen Giordano's) before heading out.

I used to work right down the street from Blommer's chocolate factory in Chicago. Several days a week, the smell of Chocolate would float through the air and drive me insane, yum. Also, the Garretts popcorn you ate is the BEST when you get it when it's all still warm.
