A diesel engine starts much faster. This engine runs on dimethyl ether gas and is a little different. Don't know if it's the fuel or the injection system that makes it difficult to start.

Shouldn't you activate the intake air heater before starting?
Volvo trucks have a separate position on the starter key to do that, it's in between the "ignition" and "start"-position, if you know what I mean.

I don't know why Volvo do this, I never knew about this until I read the manual.

OK +16 Celsius or like +60 Fahrenheit and a start like that? That truck wo'nt start in the winter. DME diesel ...give me a break. I've been running Bio diesel in US for a long time and when it gets under 60F you'll be in trouble. I guess this is an experimental truck?
