You can conduct a warrantless vehicle search when:

1. You have probable cause;
2. You have lawful access (not inside curtilage);
3. The vehicle is readily mobile (needs gas, tires, battery); and
4. Your search doesn't exceed the scope of your probable cause.

If you call 911, and report gang-bangers slinging drugs 24/7 in broad daylight from a parked vehicle with tinted windows is there probable cause to do a warrant less search?

You can't search a car just because it has a flat tire it is out of gas as a pretext to claim "community caretaking". Scotus has been very clear that the community caretaking function is only allowed on vehicles for inventory searches once they've been impounded legally. It is not a search for evidence it's supposed to be a search for valuables so they can be inventoried and return to the owner and not stolen.

I don’t think I’m understanding the readily mobile aspect. So the vehicle has to be broken down but an easy fix like a flat tire or dead battery? What if it’s not what if it is in perfectly operational condition?
Plus how could you know about a dead battery?

What If pc is developed and a vehicle is stopped. It has a driver and a passenger and the driver consents for the vehicle to be searched. Can the entire vehicle and it’s contents be searched? Such a a purse that is sitting in the passenger side of the vehicle where the female passenger was sitting? Do you need to get the passengers consent to search the purse if it was left in the vehicle after the driver gave consent?

If a vehicle pulls up to officers parked in a public place and the driver (husband) jumps out and states that the passenger (wife) has drugs inside the vehicle. The passenger jumps out and states that the driver is lying because they had an argument about a cheating affair and states you cannot search the vehicle. You find out both parties have 50/50 ownership to the vehicle. Does that give you enough to search? Can you search based on consenting husband vs non consenting wife? Is there enough PC to even conduct a search or do we go search warrant aside from automobile exception?

This is why these police officers so readily walk all over your rights as citizens.. This "training" video directly deals with at least 2 constitutional amendments "guaranteed" to you, yet it only takes a little over 2 minutes to explain how to circumvent and dodge the spirit of the law.. DISGRACEFUL and should be treated as such.

This was comedic! Laws are so vaguely written, and open to subjective interpretation, so that they may be easily worked around by law enforcement. Everyone knows police are just criminals with a badge, licensed to violate anyone, anytime, any where in any manner they see fit. They all do it, to one degree or another, at some point in their career. I’m not slamming cops, just stating the facts.
