I acquired the patch, but I have a quandary. The Nikon website lists 2 firmware updates for my D3300: one is labeled "D3300 Firmware" version 1.02 from 2017 and the other is "Distortion Control Data" version 2.01B from 2020. Should I install the patch after updating the Distortion Control or before that? Or just not install the DCD at all?

Can anyone confirm this will still be safe to try today with the D600? I have the Nikon official firmware 1.03 installed and hope it works without issue with the hack..appreciate anyone's confirmation- will this help more with color grading compared to the lower stock bitrate when shooting in an ultra flat picture profile/control like 'cinelut'? thanks in advance!
