thank you for the constructive criticism, looking back i apologise for your reply, i actually was having a bad day but i get loads of stupid comments on my other videos so i'm not so got when replying on a bad day. To answer the D5100 question, that is all it does for you, but i'll recommend downloading a CUSTOM picture profile for your d5100, it gives you an even flatter than normal picture profile for grading later.

I have downloaded the new version on a card, insert it into the camera. Turn the menu page and go down to firmware. I got A) ... B) ... L) ... further below stated DONE. didn't have the UPDATE ... can anybody helps !!!

So the only improvment gained from the firmware are the improved recording times? are there any other improvements?

I did exactly the same thing, but take my word from it, the camera is built well and can take that extra 7.5 mins of record time, no extra heat generated!

Hey there, thanks for posting this. Did you intentionally pick that filename? My d3100 isn't presenting an update option in the firmware menu, though I've tried several filenames.

There is no restriction in Nikon (existing) camera's to installing the original (or older) firmware version.

i never noticed that because there was a timer changer already in the menu which i disabled!!! thanks for providing the information though!! yeah you're right the processor does locked down a lot but remember this was one of the first video dslrs AND i think the first ever to have continues AF while shooting video so we have done pretty well already haha:)

Hello, you still have the Hacked Firmware because I do not work the nikon page hack if you could be so nice upload it would be wonderful for me since I think the nikon hake page is not working

yes, you simply do EXACTLY the same thing but with the original firmware file, it's restores it:)
