I will be talking to the wife about getting worms again and starting vermicomposting! Now if I could convince her to let me get some chickens! Please keep up the amazing work!

Thank you for sharing this information with us. I just starting composting this year; using a tumbler and a few large containers that I snagged from the recycling center. My son also bought me a small container for the kitchen. Looking good so far but have a ways to go.

I had given up on backyard composting last year after rodents got into the bin. This session gave me a lot of ideas on how I can compost and avoid the critters. I’m ready to start it up again!

I mostly compost in place. Chop and drop. Add kitchen scraps and leftover Halloween pumpkins into raised garden soil. Cover with soil, keep damp, cover with cardboard and a tarp for the winter. By spring there are no signs of what I buried, just good, rich dark soil. Would love to try a stand alone compost bag. Central Illinois. Love your website.

This was my first time watching and the Livestream about composting was excellent. Very thorough and clear!

I’m composting in my backyard composter, also have 2 worm factory 360 bins. One in my basement and one in my classroom. The worms magically make “black gold”. I caution people to be careful about composting tomatoes with the seeds. The worms don’t breakdown the seeds and you get lots of tomato volunteers in the gardens. (This can be beneficial or a nuisance!) 😝
