Looking for a used Honda for sale in South Africa? We have over 1200 to choose from!

Honda has always had a knack for making practical vehicles. Unique elements like the patented rear Magic Seating set Honda SUVs apart from the rest of the field.

However, arguably, Honda's SUVs have never been as stylish or desirable as some of the competitors. With this latest generation of the HR-V, it seems Honda has set out to tick both boxes, and offer a solid combination of practicality and curb appeal.

In this video, our on-screen journo Ciro De Siena takes us on an in-depth tour of the new Honda HR-V, including pricing in South Africa, specs and features, the interior, rear seat practicality, boot space, fuel consumption, the new dimensions of the vehicle and dishes out his opinion on what it's like to drive.

He also details the price and differences between the entry-level 1.5 Comfort and the 1.5 Executive.

2022 Honda HR-V Price in South Africa (July 2022)

6:14 I have driven the hybrid version of this for 3 months now and the average per tank is 4, 6 - 4, 7 l/100 km. Motorway 5 - 5, 5 l/100 km, city between 3, 5 - 4 l/100 km. The hybrid absolutely loves slow traffic. The electric motor also gives it a 253 Nm add on.

Capetonians will love this car, as they love to drive ridiculously slow. Especially in the South.
Excellent review as always. ☺👍

I have a 2017 HRV 1.8 Executive and I absolutely love it! Overtaking sounds a crappy, but it moves! I was interested in the 2022 model, but maybe I should simply stick to my 1.8. Really great overall economy of 7.2l/100km over the last 5 years. Very, very practical, though and it handles a gravel road quite well.

Great review...here in Jamaica we have both the petrol and Hybrid. The hybrids are fully powered and they have the latest Honda sensing technology. Those have higher torque power than the petrol powered ones and are more responsive in overtaking or sport mode.

Any idea if we are getting the ZR-V?, Australia and New Zealand have recently got it.

CVT's don't disappoint adults. One grows up, learns to drive and to adapt to the vehicle. That's adulting behind the wheel. HR-V is rated by some as the world most reliable car, and to most of us, that's what we need to know. Durability, longevity, endurance.

I seriously think that Honda SA made a really bad mistake with the pricing of this vehicle. They should have rather taken the hit and lowered this car by at least R50k and bring in the 1.5L Turbo or at least the 2.0L for between R550k and R599k.

I think those who love Hondas will love this. But for less money, you can get a Subaru XV, with more airbags, AWD, bigger engine and a volume knob for your radio. And if you are willing to dish more out, the Rav4 comes in a hybrid already. I don't see this selling well in SA sadly.

Did i hear this correctly? @3:08 "It's slightly longer Slightly wider but interestingly Slightly shorter."
It's longer and shorter?

Agree with you on the hybrid. Otherwise it’s just way too expensive!

Sweet looking car. Love mine! Engine is really not that bad. Gearbox is way better than the Ford Focus I had, way smoother transitions!!!

GREAT review ! Brilliant actually !
Great car, great style even ... I think.. 🤔..🤨... BUT is it just me or is Honda now actually ripping off China on the Jolion.. ??!! 😳
Holy 🤬!!! 😉🤣
Can this be...
And then, except for the Honda's "smart seats"..., the Jolion looks better, more practical, the bells and whistles ... and then the "elephant in the room"... SO much better priced😳
The Honda is "cool", BUT the Jolion for me please, no doubt 😅😎👍👌

GREAT JOB as always 👍👍👍
