I’ve known and helped my neighbor for over 25 years. Her disturbed son moved in and he has made my life miserable with his nasty habits. Screaming and drunken ravings all around the house. I feel sorry for her because she’s obviously afraid of him and he takes advantage of her old age and she does nothing. Walking on eggshells in my own home. Yes, it’s easy to say to move. I paid off my house 3 years ago and this was going to be my forever home. Invested my life savings on it and now I’m living with this idiot next door.

Neighbors with nonstop barking dogs are the WORST

The worst is when you live in town houses and your front porch is 2 feet away from their front porch and they have to be the big attention seeking social ones who have all kinds of people coming and going from the house hanging out in front of their house which in turn is basically hanging out in front of your house. I’m sick of living like this but it’s all I can afford. 😢

I lived a neighborhood that seemed to be reasonably nice until new tenants moved into the neighborhood. They trashed the property and make noise all the time. My family and I are hoping to relocate to get away from the rift raff.

I feel blessed with my neighbors, they are very good neighbors to have indeed. During the storms we all help one another. Having caring neighbors instead of nosy helps too. PS the water looks great.

Very Accurate about the : downplaying your job and saying you work at Walmart instead. Never dress like you have money or showing off your fitness. I agree. Never show out to your neighbor to look like you're doing well in life. Put the blocks on your windows so they don't look in, but always act like you are just the average guy working at Wal-Mart. It's sad that people can't mind their own business.

Buy a large enough lot so that any potential neighbors are far enough away!

You are so right about most of what you said. I really don't have a problem with my neighbors, and the one that I have had problems do believe it has to do with jealousy. But, its all in her head. People that don't have nothing to do all day are the worst. It awful that you want to do well, and have a few nice things in your life, and for your oh my god....the mess it creates, just because they don't want you to have anything.

Alot of this is terrible advice. Dont call the police, allow your neighbors to do illegal activities.

My neighbor's 13 yr old kid is a complete sociopath, definitely gets it from his jackass dad. Wish i would've known not to interact but we certainly don't anymore. Now the kid is shooting my dogs with a bb gun. I got trail cams and planned on reporting it to the police. Maybe I should approach the dad with proof after we catch it on the cameras? We have an acre of land and are homeschoolers so I do see jealously being a possible issue.

Good stuff here. I wish I'd known it sooner. Jealousy is something I hadn't thought of. My current neighborhood was a diamond in the rough. But now that some people have moved and a lot of the original neighbors are dieing off (most were retired when I bought my house). Most of the new people are trouble of some sort.

Nothing and no one should ever hinder you from being your authentic self. Let these toxic people see God's favor in your life. Why would you allow anyone to have that much control. Your advice is weak regardless of your zip code and wealth. And is not based in reality. What you are selling is fear. And fear can be contagious to those that have not raised their level of awareness to the dark side of people. They're everywhere.

We have a bad neighbor and he’s the one to butt into business. Music late at night, creepy stalking, drugs, beat one of his cars with a baseball bat too

I moved out of HOA Karen squads to a very nice, upscale rural subdivision in Northern Virginia without an HOA. All homes have between 2 and 7 acres. We bought a brand new home on 4 acres. The house next door sold soon after we move din and the couple who moved in with a couple rug rats have become our nightmare scenario, always trespassing, spying on us, bringing contractors to do work in our wooded area and we have found long term encroachments on our lot that were never seen before that could be the basis for adverse possession. They harass us with their German Shepherd and watch every move we make and have told us they are doing so. We are all pretty well off in this neighborhood and it just goes to show you that while poorer neighborhoods do come with baggage, people with money can be very entitled and bring a sophisticated level of harassment to you that is just as bad but only different.

I know my neighbors we all get along and look out for one another even if we dont associate with one another on a regular basis

Amazing. You mentioned retired FBI Agent twice. That’s what I am. Dealing with biracial drug situation across the street. Boom boxes in trunks, drug deals all day long and this is a nice neighborhood. 80 year old grandmother allowing her granddaughters (2) and their drug dealing baby fathers living in a 2 bedroom home. Two infants so far…..I’m at the end of my rope. Waterfront home in Florida my retirement dream and I get this after putting these kind of people in jail for 36 years. Guess I’ll have to move. Wish I could do something. Cops aren’t helping at all.

Don’t get to know your neighbors 😵‍💫 My neighbors….even in Florida….. we’re awesome ! Not every neighbor, but most neighbors got your back ❤️ unfortunately Florida is becoming crazy 😢
