Love these tips! <3 I would also say prepare the washroom for guests. Put out some clean hand towls and make sure you're stocked on soap and toilet paper. Maybe add an extra visible roll of toilet paper because it sucks having to dig through someones cabinets to find some!

Dimmers= YES!!! I was at my Aunt's house yesterday, Thanksgiving Day, and I was appalled by her lighting siruation!!

I know I'm light sensitive, and I know I had a migraine, but there is just no reason to have 15 spot lights in your livingroom!! (The ceiling was low too.


I felt better when others turned the lights back on, and then right back off, because it was so harsh and crazy!!

Appropriate greenery/flowers. Sometimes an old lady bouquet is appropriate, other times just some limes in a nice bowl. Something live is essential. If you have gorgeous appetizers with edible flowers or microgreens in them you can sometimes forgo this, but I always have at least a couple small bowl vases with a couple flowers in them. The options are always endless but just make sure it is appropriate for the occasion and classy. If I do have flowers and not just a succulent or something, I always take one or two and put them in a small vase for my bathroom. Like with all the other junk you don't want to clutter up your countertop so I like to go with something simple but still refreshing. and if your eating at a table its always nice not to have something in the way of being able to see everyone. another reason why I like to stick with short vases/bowls. What I mean by bowl is one that is for flowers, not like a soup bowl.

I literally have all of those things that you mentioned and use them when I entertain! Tip: I get my wine glasses at the Dollar Store! You can buy so many so you don't freak out if one breaks and they're actually nice! I have 20 and they're actually made in the USA!
