Not something you would see 15 years ago, the BMW going up against a Kia and Hyundai. We have the 2022 Ioniq 5 AWD and it's a great car, faster than wrx's and an STI I had, heater is blowing hot in 45 seconds and not several miles like a gas powered car. If someone has the ability to charge at home or work an EV may be a good option, but if you had to go fast charge 1 or 2 times a week it would loose some of the convivence we get by never needing to stop just hop in and go every day.

Yes, I agree, especially since a heat pump is available for 2023.

Please do a comparison between the 2023 VW ID.4 Pro S AWD (now made in Chattanooga, TN) vs the Tesla Model Y LR AWD (not the Performance model) vs the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited AWD. All three are now has price parity (especially with Tesla's recent price drop) and are comparable in terms of specifications and features. With VW's recent EV sales up 20% in 2022, I believe these three are now the most compared and shopped against EVs.

BMW ix makes it to the finalist list and not the Tesla model Y. 😂

Didn't EV6 make the top 3 because it wasn't good enough or was it because it was too similar to the Ioniq 5?

If IX makes to the list then R1s/model s/x should have made it. If Niro made the list then model 3 with new pricing should easily make it. Seems like the picks were random no real scores given on ev infra, route planning capabilities for ev, value for money.

2:41 BIG disagree. Tesla's are stand out vehicles. There's a reason they're the benchmark. Their combination of usability, performance and value is unmatched and their charging network is the mic drop feature. By getting *any* other brand's EV, you're "fitting in" to CCS charging networks which have thoroughly proven themselves to be unreliable. No amount of snarky comments towards Tesla vehicles will change that.

When we got model Y, we were happy

When we sold the model Y, we were happiest and replaced with IONIQ 5. It was best decision ever.

Extremely happy with I5 limited AWD.

Model 3 was such a junk for the money you pay for it. It squeaks and rattles, constantly make noise on the road, cheap interior materials, awful paint job which we paid extra and the worst was the panel gaps. I won’t buy tesla and they have the worst built quality!!

No wonder Musk can play game with price of Tesla. No thanks, Tesla.

Love IONIQ 5

Walk around your house and count how many items are made with fossil fuel. Will solar or wind manufacture these items? How much CO2 will an electric car save in its lifetime?

Electric ? Does that mean my rechargable torch is electric ? My mobile phone, is that electric now ? My battery powered toothbrush, will it shock me if I bite too hard ? All these electric cars, I don't see the long, long power cords they need to get the electricity.
Why not call them coal powered, I mean, if you are going to name them after a power source they can't carry with them but they rely on.
