Lewitt Connect 6 Interface Walk-through and Review (Ft. RØDECaster Pro II)

Today, I have the Lewitt Connect 6 Audio Interface in the Audio Hotline Studio! When I first saw this interface, I was STOKED! I am a fan of Lewitt, they are a great company and I was excited to see what they could add to the Audio Interface game... Not to spoil anything, BUT they made a bit of a splash with this interface and the price that it comes in at. There is a part in this video where I do compare it to the Rødecaster Pro II, I test out the noise floor with the Shure SM7b on both of the interfaces, and there were some interesting results! If you don't need everything the Rodecaster Pro II offers, this may be a good alternative!

NOTE: I made an error in this video… I forgot to mention that this interface does not have a Hi-Z input. Therefore, going direct in with a guitar is not the best option. When I tracked my guitar parts I DID use a DI box. This is something I would recommend doing if you are a guitar player considering buying this.

Not a fan of the one-knob-does-everything user interface and as a Linux user I suspect the software won't work for me. Other than that, this looks like a killer combination of features. If I was a Windows/Apple user in the market for a streaming-type device this would be at or near the top of the list. I would like to see a limiter (and maybe some effects like reverb and distortion) added to the features but maybe that'll be in a future firmware update.

BTW you should definitely do a Hindenburg review.

Hi, when you configure the DSP after powering up and connecting can the device be powered down and run in a pre-set state. Or does it need to have the software connected at every session for the on board DSPs to function. ? Thanks

For a voice over, podcast and other recorded vocals..not live streaming or music stuff .. for max 2 mics input need which is the best interface under 300 ..lewitt 6 or audient id14 or ssl2 or motu M2 ?

I also kind of despise the one knob...push to cycle stuff ...it's why I moved away from the elgato interface and the presonus. Kind of a deal breaker for me...not sure why it annoys me so much

Is it possible to switch monitoring between near field monitors plugged in via the LR Line outputs and a small single commercial speaker plugged in via the mini R/L out? I can get audio monitoring in both the near fields and the mini speaker, but it necessitates unplugging the line outs from the back of the unit to get audio to the mini speaker. Is there a switch monitor feature I am missing? Thanks.

Problem with one knob that works for everything is that it will be more likely to get break down easily.
