Can't believe it's already that time of year again. I'll be giving mine a few more waterings yet, I've got some coming into flower again as it's been quite warm and sunny here lately, too. Great to see so many buds on the ones from Edith & myself 😁 Thank you for sharing with us as always, Lyn. Have a wonderful day from us both to you & Hans ❤️🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜

Very cool, Lyn. Very cool. I actually gave mine their last watering on the 28th of August. I really couldve watered them one, maybe 2 more times for the year, as my weather has been so sunny and dry all month... but they will be fine either way, all the way to next April. A healthy, _dry root system_ going into winter can let me rest easy, knowing my chances of "wet feet" root rot will be extremely low. My goal, as with any one else, is a 100% return to spring!!! We keepers have many delicate cacti, as well as many cacti with a tap root system.... so it's imperative we do our part to make sure they're dry for the seemingly endless winter dormancy.

Awesome and beautiful succulent plants.

A drop of water and they are good to go. Growing cacti in small pots is definitely different from growing in larger pots. I was complaining that my summer felt so short. But yours was even shorter ❤❤❤

Well Lyn, we are a few weeks away from the last. Tomorrow it's supposed to be around 90°F. So we are still a bit warm. Going to start bringing plants in Friday. Actually have already brought a few in. The leaves are changing on the trees getting ready for what's to come. We always dred winter. Snow, ice storms and sometimes sub zero temperatures. Boooo!! At least I have quite a bit of wood to heat with. Hopefully everything will go well for all of us!!! Here we go!! Great video Lyn!!! I think we're all doing some kind of preparing right now. Thanks for sharing Lyn!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to across the emerald isle, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants ✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🪴🌳🏜😃👍

A piece of advice: Get you some 7 Dust, if you wanna treat your plants for pests before you bring them in your house. Its a dry powder that you shake onto your plants, with no need to mix it into water when youre supposed to keep your plants dry.

I wish I had your 22 c temp. I remember last year I was walking the dingle way, and they give out a weather alert to keep out of the sun .. when I look at the temp. It was 22 c .. I was “ what !! That’s winter for us on our Caribbean island “… that was funny for me how each country assimilate the same temperature… all the best for your cactus collection on the upcoming season .

Great video about your last watering of your cacti, Lyn! As always, lot's of very useful infos shared! It is always a bit of a gamble, isn't it, to make that call, about when to give the plants their last watering before the dry dormancy period ... especially with the less and less predictable weather patterns these days! After a very slow, cool and wet start, we have had a pretty hot and sunny 2nd half of the summer here in southern Germany... so I have been (and still am) watering quite a bit ...but will also probably close the watering season by the end of the month... I cannot believe we are already heading for another Winter and dormancy period, haha. Feels like we just recently only got going this season, lol! Sending you and Hans very best cactus greetings over to you both on the beautiful Emerald Isle. Enjoy your weekend ahead, happy growing! 🙌🙏👍😉🌵🪴🌿🌵🌼🌸🌺💚☀️😎🙋‍♂️

Great video as always, Lyn. I've been busy repotting a few plants and moving the more sensitive cacti to a dry, sheltered location to dry out now. Indoor plants will still get another couple of waterings, this weekend and early October. We've still got warm temperatures but much less sunlight now. A lot of my indoor Trichocereus plants are etiolated, the sunmer was so bad!

Wishing you and Hans a wonderful weekend from Northern Spain 😀🌵💚

Lyn, I loved the vid! I have brought many of my cacti into the greenhouse 6 weeks earlier than normal..not for the cold, but the rain and storms here in Italy have been unrelenting.. 🤦🏻‍♀️ World temperatures are changing every year!! Much love to you and Hans xoxo ❤

Hi Lyn!😌🙌I still have a few more waterings ahead. It's still really hot here in Japan and plants dry really fast. I enjoyed watching and enjoy the good weather there😌🤲💞🌵

Enjoyed this as usual, idk why I thought watering the top of a cactus was bad, guess I’m too afraid of rot!🤣 I especially love that small round burgundy cactus…looking forward to the Gasteria video, I love them too! 🤗🌵

Glad to see you back doing cactus work! It is interesting to hear your discussions about when to water, light, temperature, all the things that us inside growers consider. We all have the same issues. I would give you one bit of friendly advice though. Growing cacti is a hobby for us, not a business. You can't worry about cost. Well, that sounded like good advice.

Thanks for all the excellent advice Lynn, I'm going to do a last watering over the next few days as well. We've got the Indian summer here in Glasgow too, isn't it great! xxx
