Thanks mate, yeah i was very surprised myself how stable the quad was first time out, i was expecting to be hooking it up to the pc constantly to change settings but its not been the case. The camera is just a gopro version 1 and yeah i agree its not the best in low light or when the sun is low in the sky at this time of year. The gopro is mounted on one of the shelves just using velcro, hook on the bottom of gopro and loop on the shelf and a velcro lipo strap wrapped around, will angle down next.

Thanks, yeah I think some people spend to much time vibration proofing their camera's instead of fixing the cause of the vibrations first, vibrations are not only bad for video but can cause big problems with the fc too, I'm just using the stock dji props which were already pretty much balanced out the pack.
I started with helicopters which make the quads pretty easy.

hey thanks for the speedy reply, i'm subscribed now so i'll be looking forward to your next video's...
i plan on some of the same with a hexa i have as well as a few quads...this fpv stuff is sure fun

@Ec130Rhine you could try lowering your gains, but all quads do wobble a bot when descending fast because its dropping through its own prop wash, try moving forward as you descend to aviod the wash. Also i found my dji naza wobble and jig about a fair bit with 10x4.5 props, try the 8x4.5 props with 4s lipo its much smoother with better climb rate.

If you have vibrations the first place to check is the props, some props are good to go out the box but mostly its best to just balance them right to start with.

I know what people are saying but the quad isn't as close to the trampoline as it may appear, and with this hobby if you worry about all the things that could go wrong you'd probably never do it lol.

Whats naza lite? I've not heard of that.

Hey - impressive vid. Thank for posting. I can't believe you got such jello free pics without special dampers such as sorbothane etc. Is this just with balanced - maybe carbon-fibre - props.
I can see you've flown before 'cos my first attempts were all over the place!

I didn't stabilize the video at all, i dont have any decent software i just use windows live movie maker to trim the start and beginning. This first go was just line of sight but ive had a couple of fpv flights since and will upload the vids shortly. The props were just straight out the packet with no balancing.

For some reason your comments came through flagged as spam so i didn't get an email to let me know.

Id go for the naza v2, I've not used naza lite, I think they both fly the same but the naza v2 is more upgradeable.

How does balancing the props change performance? Should you ALWAYS balance them or do you usually get good performance straight out of the box?
cool video. I just ordered this quad with gps, but the Naza Lite version.

btw, the kid looks well protected behind that net, but everyone should be careful on their first few flights - I've got a scar on my arm from an experimental quad from kickstarter(dot))com I put together that had chronic problems.

I'm planning on switching to this frame from my Talon V3. But i'm using 10" props. Would they fit to this frame? Talon is really durable frame, but there is just too little real estate on it. This seems perfect.  Also i saw people mentioning this frame causes lots of vibrations doe to it's arms' flexing. What do you think?

I think my alt gain are both 140 will that make it wobble coming down fast do the gain have to come down or go up?

Been flying my F450 for some time now. But never known what size props i am meant to be using. Am using a 3s lipo 2200mah with the 8" props. Is this right using them with then 3s lipo or should i be using the 10" props. My Dji phantom runs on a 3s lipo 2200mah with the stock 8" props so am guessing its alright. Me using them and won't effect any think in the long run.
